Nationalism Versus Using English For Life

This is my first Posting Discuss about Nationalism vs Using English
 I don't know if someone ever posted a thread like what I'm going to talk, but I just need to know your opinion about this:

"why some people think that when we're using English, I mean in speaking to others or when we have a simple or even "heavy" conversation, it means that WE HAVE NO SENSE OF NATIONALISM. I mean why? why? Keep wondering until now, why some people so not well-educated saying that?
I don't think there's a correlation between nationalism and using English".

you guys have an opinion?

Some people say to Me:

• "Wow... just ignore them...do what you like... though... I don't really get it when you say "speaking to others or when we have a simple or even "heavy" conversation. Could you please explain more? Give examples or anything to help me get the bigger picture."
